With its natural beauty as the backdrop for so many historic sites, anchorages, marinas and restaurants, from New York Harbor to the Troy lock 150 miles to the north, the spectacular Hudson River offers some of the most diverse boating and cruising on the east coast. We have created a new Facebook Group for anyone interested in talking about and learning more about boating and cruising on the Hudson. From day-boaters to overnighters, snowbirds and Loopers, we hope the information shared enhances your enjoyment of the river, helps when you’re planning for a visit by water or just gives you something to dream about which is certainly something we can all use these days.
We started this page as longtime Hudson River boaters who have always wanted a friendly online community to share our passion for these waters and to pay forward what we’ve learned about the river over the years. Please join in, start a discussion, share your favorite cruising spots, where you love to dock and dine, tie the boat up or drop the hook. Ask for ideas. Post your Hudson River boating shots. And if you have a business serving boaters in the area we would love your participation.
We hope to have a great exchange of information and ideas about spending time on one of the most spectacular bodies of water anywhere. You’ll find the group by clicking here.
