OLOH TV – Southbound ’19! Part 5

As you can read about here, our Southbound ’19 Adventure took us from the Hudson River in New York to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

This episode of OLOH TV takes us over the South Carolina border as we travel between Hampstead, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach.  Along the way we stop at one of our favorite places to tie up on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Southport Marina.  Earlier this summer, Southport Marina was devastated by Hurricane Isaias.  Our visit there was obviously from before that terrible event but you will get a sense of the specialness of the place that we are sure it will return to.  We were sad to see a crew member disembark at Southport before we continued on our way, and you don’t want to miss the special sendoff we give them in this video.  And how did we fair at the notorious ICW challenges of Lockwoods Folly and the Rock Pile? Watch and see!

We hope you enjoy cruising with us and please be sure to say hello in the comments section at the bottom of the page!

  1. Great video and “outtakes”. Love, love, LOVE your Dad’s toast A.J. Only thing missing was some of Tim’s outstanding onboard meals!
    1. Thanks Pete! Yes - Dad's toast caught me (A.J.) by surprise, as you could probably tell. And I agree about the meals. We'll definitely be shooting more galley time when we're back on board.
