A Classy Red Head

(Note: Red Head has sold since this was originally posted)

After nineteen years of living aboard, fulfilling their cruising dreams (we believe well beyond their wildest expectations), and bringing a seismic shift to the marine industry in the way we all cruise, our dear friends on M/V Red Head are moving ashore and selling their spectacular floating home.  Some will say Red Head’s pedigree runs deep because of the celebrity who once owned her.  We say it is because of our friends who have impeccably restored, upgraded, and maintained her (well, the OLOH Crew has spent some memorable time on her too, so there’s that ?).

While we will lose a boat to cruise with, we have gained two exceptional crew members and three furry mates who have announced that they are down with OPD (Other People’s Diesel).  That, of course, came with their promise that there are quarters waiting for us in their new home with a pool that Jasper will actually want to swim in.  We’ll bring the dairy-free little beers!

Jasper always insisted on a drive-when we were playing on the tender and the Red Head Crew always kept a careful watch.

Congratulations to the new custodians of Red Head.  She is in a class by herself.

  1. What a beautiful vessel. Jeff of JMS Yachts does a superb job of showing the unique layout and the wonderfully designed areas. A liveaboard couple would not have to worry about their special items they do not want to part with...the cargo compartment is unbelievable. Great way to start a day...video tour of a trawler yacht that is gorgeous inside and out! A real one of a kind. Feel like a 100' ... not 65'!! Thanks for the link to the video, would have hated to miss it!
  2. I agree, gorgeous vessel and certainly lives like more than 65 feet! It also has my favorite accessory ever! An onboard washer and dryer!
