OLOH TV – Let’s Go For A Ride

If you couldn’t tell, we love the cruising lifestyle.  There was a time in our boating lives with smaller and much simpler vessels where most of the time prepping for departure was spent icing the cooler.  While there are certainly times when we wish it was as simple as firing up the engines, untying the lines, and heading out (one reason we have our Whaler), the time and effort it takes to get OLOH underway is well worth it.

As we head out to go cruising in the beautiful waters of the Florida Keys, this video gives you a look at our pre-departure process from engine room checks to readying the helm and lines.  And once we’re out there we put OLOH through her paces to make sure everything is dialed in.

And, of course, Jasper was front and center for all of it… and had a lot to say.

As always, we love to hear from you.  Please be sure to say hello in the comments section and don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

  1. It is so nice to see such an organized capt and admiral. Have you thought about putting cameras in your engine compartments so you can keep an eye on them at any time you desire. Do you plan to spend this summer and winter in the keys. Wishing you smooth sailings and happy adventures. Irwin
  2. Couldn't hear what you said while turning the AC breakers on. ?? Enjoyed the technical side of this episode. Am I seeing integrated throttle and transmission? Now THAT wuz a clean engineroom. We're now out diving in the Abacos. Quite a bit of hurricane destruction still visible at Great Guana Cay.
    1. Hey William - thanks for watching the video! While turning on the AC breakers we were mentioning how we turn on the heavier loads slowly and one at a time. Yes - we have electronic throttle and shift (drive-by-wire) on OLOH and really prefer it to the other options. Enjoy your time in the Bahamas!
  3. Not sure which I enjoyed more... hearing Jasper whine about being left behind when moving One Love, or Tim singing operational-appropriate songs for various conditions. ;) Enjoyed seeing you getting underway and the many steps necessary to depart safely and efficiently. Well done!!
  4. Hi Guys, We really enjoy your videos. Love your boat, too. We have a 35’ motor yacht in Annapolis. Also, watch the C-Shells…..Cindy and Sheldon. Please keep us posted about your new videos. Thanks!
    1. Hey Trudi & Brad - thanks so much! More videos are on the way... What's the name of your M/Y? Hope to see you out there someday!
